The hands positions are either gently touching the body or may hover about 3 to 6 inches away. Some people prefer the no touch experience but this is rare. Most people do enjoy the more tactile approach. There is no massage or manipulation but you may notice feelings of warmth, tingling or coolness where the practitioner is working. After the treatment, people have reported significant improvements in their health and also feelings of wellbeing and total relaxation. Reiki is used to help with physical, mental, emotional and spiritual issues. Reiki is used alongside traditional medical interventions and treatments, often reducing the side effects that may usually occur when receiving some kinds of treatment as well as speed up the recovery. It can also bring a sense of calmness and acceptance to terminally ill patients.
